Martin Lewis has revealed how students could be owed hundreds of pounds from loan companies.
The founder of Money Saving Expert said that over the past three years, 100,000 graduates have started paying off their loans too early.
Anyone who started university from 1998 was eligible for up to £ 900.
Martin said, âWhen you leave college, you can’t start paying off your student loan until the following April when you leave college.
“Now most people leave college in July, so you have about nine months until the following April.”
“If you did [start paying your loan back too early] you phone the student loan company and ask for your money back.
“Now in some cases it’s £ 700, £ 800, £ 900.”

The problem is often caused by incorrect information on the payroll of companies.
A woman told Martin: âMy son was working and they started taking money from his paycheck, and after watching your program he got £ 250 back.
The easiest way to find out if you are owed money is to find your old payslips and check.
You can then call the student loan company with your client number and you should receive a refund.
The Martin Lewis Money Show returns next Monday at 8 p.m. on ITV.
